Speaker Series

A community event series launched in 2026, the CTNE Speaker Series aims to illuminate and educate attendees on a wide variety of topics at the intersection of government, community, technology, policy, and history. The Speaker Series provides regular opportunities for a general audience to come together for learning and discussion about how our city and our region function, with a focus on demystifying government and civic processes.

Industry

GovTech Gatherings

Since 2024, CTNE aims to foster connection and community between professionals working in all levels of government and the Boston civic technology ecosystem of non-profits, community groups, volunteer organizations, and academia through regular meetups, communications, and targeted events. We believe that facilitating these connections will lead to rich inter-organizational collaborations, effective projects, and a professional pipeline to careers in the civic tech field.

About

Founded in 2024, Civic Tech New England is a 501c3 organization dedicated to building and promoting civic technology in Greater Boston and the New England region. Through community building, network development, education, and project development, we seek to bring together the elements of the local and regional civic tech ecosystem to build a more effective, more understandable, and more engaged government and civil society.
